Estandartes privacy policy
Effective October 24, 2026 · Last updated: November 4, 2026 · Version 2.1 (adds the game's links and the site's voluntary donations)
The essentials
- Estandartes doesn't ask you to create an account and does not collect your personal data.
- From version 0.7.1, the game shows ads from Google AdMob, always child-appropriate and non-personalized, and it does not use your advertising ID. There are optional rewarded ads (in the shop and to call the merchant at the Market: only if you choose to watch them) and, outside of matches, a banner on the main menu and, sometimes, a full-screen ad when you return to the menu after a match. There are never ads while you play.
- The game has no purchases and no analytics or tracking tools.
- Your saved games, settings, maps and banner are stored only on your phone. We never see them.
- 1 vs 1 connects two phones directly on the same WiFi network, without going through any server.
- If we add other kinds of ads, personalized ads or the purchase to remove them, we will update this policy first and let you know.
1. Who we are
Estandartes (Google Play ID: com.kuantis.Estandartes) is an Android game developed and published by Kuantis ("we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
Contact email: kuantis.dev@gmail.com.
2. Scope
This policy applies to the Estandartes game, to this website (kuantis.github.io/estandartes) and to the messages you send us.
We wrote it to comply with the data protection laws of the places where the game is offered, including: the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and its United Kingdom equivalent; in the United States, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and state privacy laws such as California's (CCPA, as amended by the CPRA); Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD); and the personal data protection laws of Latin American countries. If the law of your country gives you more rights or protection than this policy, your law prevails.
3. What the game stores on your phone
To work, the game stores in your phone's memory:
- your saved games, including the autosave;
- your settings, such as music and sound volume;
- your banner and team color;
- the maps you create or import;
- technical data that helps the game run well on your phone, such as how long it takes to load.
This data never leaves your phone and we never receive it. It cannot identify you. It is deleted if you uninstall the game or clear its data in Settings › Apps › Estandartes › Storage › Clear data (names may vary by phone).
Android backup: if you have backup to your Google account turned on, Android may include this data in it so it can be restored on another phone. That backup is handled by Google according to your settings and its privacy policy; we have no access to it.
4. What we don't collect
We do not collect or receive your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, location, advertising ID, device identifiers or what you do in the game. When an ad is shown, Google processes some technical data to show it to you (see section 8). The game has no accounts, no chat and no online social features, and it does not use cookies.
5. 1 vs 1 over WiFi
To play against another person, the two phones connect directly to each other on the same WiFi network or one phone's hotspot, without internet and without servers. To do so:
- the phone that creates the room announces it on the local network using the phone model as the room name (for example, "Redmi Note 13"), together with the room code and the chosen civilization. Any device on that same network that searches for rooms can see this information;
- the phones use their local network IP addresses to connect;
- during the match only game data is sent: the game version, civilization, color, banner, map and each player's commands. The room password ensures only people who know it can join.
None of this is sent to us. If the two phones fall out of sync during a match, the game may save on your phone a technical log of the error (with data such as the phone model and game version), which does not leave your phone unless you choose to share it. We recommend playing on trusted networks.
6. What you choose to share
With Android's share menu you can send:
- the maps you created;
- from the pause menu, a performance measurement of the game, which includes frames per second, memory, battery, temperature, the phone model and the Android and game versions.
Nothing is sent automatically: you choose the file and the app that receives it (for example, WhatsApp or Google Drive), and from then on that app's privacy policy applies. If you send us a file to help us with a bug, we use it only for that purpose.
7. Android permissions
| Permission | What it is used for |
|---|---|
Network access (INTERNET), network and WiFi state (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE) and local network announcements (CHANGE_WIFI_MULTICAST_STATE) | To find rooms and play 1 vs 1 on your local network and, from version 0.7.1, to load the ads (from Google AdMob). The game does not connect to any server of ours. The advertising ID permission (AD_ID) and the permissions of the Android advertising APIs (ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION and ACCESS_ADSERVICES_TOPICS), which the ads SDK adds, are removed: the game does not have them. |
Read and write files (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) | Only on older Android versions, to import and share the maps and files you choose. |
Vibration (VIBRATE) | From version 0.6.0, so the phone vibrates when you are attacked or the match ends. It can be turned off in Settings. It gives no access to any data. |
Keep the phone awake and foreground service (WAKE_LOCK, FOREGROUND_SERVICE) | From version 0.7.1. They are added by the Android task library (WorkManager) that Google's ads SDK uses to send its internal pings even if you close the game. The game does not use them directly and they give no access to your data. |
The game does not ask for access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts or photos.
8. Third-party services
- Google Play. You download the game from Google Play, which processes your data under the Google Privacy Policy. Google gives us aggregated statistics (for example, installs by country or phone model) and, if you agreed to share usage and diagnostics data with Google, crash reports for the game. We cannot identify anyone from this information.
- Unity. The game is built with the Unity engine, by Unity Technologies. We do not use Unity's ads, purchases or analytics services. Test versions before 0.5.2 could send Unity a technical report when the engine crashed (with the phone model and operating system, the game version and the technical details of the error, without your name or contact details). In versions after 0.5.1 this feature is turned off. More information in the Unity Privacy Policy.
- GitHub. This website is hosted on GitHub Pages, by GitHub, Inc. Like any web server, GitHub may log your IP address for security purposes, according to its privacy statement. Our site uses no cookies, no analytics and loads no content from other sites.
- Google AdMob (ads, from version 0.7.1). The Google Mobile Ads SDK requests and shows the ads: the rewarded ones when you choose to watch them, the main menu banner and the full-screen one when you return to the menu. Every request is tagged as child-directed and under the age of consent, with a G content rating. So ads are not personalized, the advertising ID is not used (the game removes that permission) and Google limits the data it processes to what is needed to show the ad, measure it without profiles, prevent fraud and keep the app working: for example, the IP address (from which an approximate country or region can be inferred), the phone model and system, the language, the app and its version, and how you interact with the ad. We do not receive that data, only aggregate statistics (how many ads were watched). Google processes it under its privacy policy and its page on how it uses data from apps that use its services. AdMob is self-certified under the Google Play Families program.
- Email. If you write to us, your message reaches us through Gmail, by Google.
- Links in the game. In “Help”, the game can open this site and kuantisdev.com in your browser, always after asking you. Once you leave the game, each site's policies apply.
- Buy Me a Coffee (voluntary donations). This site has a link to buy us a coffee; the game does not show it. If you use it, you leave our site: that page and the payment are handled by Buy Me a Coffee, under its own policy, and it may share with us what you leave there, such as your name or your message. We use it only to keep records and to say thanks.
9. Children
Estandartes is suitable for everyone, including children under 13. We do not collect personal data from anyone, including children.
About the ads:
- rewarded ads are optional: they only appear if you choose to watch them (in the shop or to call the merchant), and the whole game can be played without watching them;
- the others only appear outside of matches: a banner on the main menu, kept apart from the buttons, and, at most one every five minutes and never after your first match or the tutorial, a full-screen ad when you return to the menu, which you close with its button;
- we only use Google AdMob, self-certified under the Google Play Families program, and we ask for everyone for child-appropriate ads: non-personalized, without the advertising ID and with a G rating;
- the game does not ask for donations; the site's donation page is for adults or people with their permission;
- we comply with COPPA, the Google Play Families policies and the child protection laws of your country.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has sent us personal data (for example, in an email), write to us at kuantis.dev@gmail.com and we will delete it.
10. Ads and purchases in the future
Today there are child-appropriate, non-personalized ads from Google AdMob (section 8). We plan to add an in-game purchase to remove the ads that appear on their own. If we add personalized ads or other ad providers:
- we will update this policy with the providers and the data they process;
- we will ask for your consent where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland;
- we will update the "Data safety" section of the game's Google Play listing.
The purchase is processed by Google Play. We do not receive your card or payment details: only a purchase confirmation so the option can be activated in the game.
11. Emails you send us
If you write to us, we use your email address and what you tell us only to reply and resolve your request. We do not sell this data or share it with anyone, unless the law requires it.
12. Legal bases
Where the law requires a legal basis (for example, under the GDPR or the LGPD), we process the data in your emails based on our legitimate interest in answering your requests and, where applicable, to comply with legal obligations. The ads are not personalized and do not use profiles. If personalized ads are added in the future, we will show them only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
13. We don't sell your data
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as defined by California law (CCPA/CPRA) and similar laws. We do not process sensitive personal information.
14. Your rights
Depending on the law of your country, you can ask us to access your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw your consent. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights. Because the game does not send us data, the only data we normally may have is your email, if you wrote to us.
To exercise your rights, write to kuantis.dev@gmail.com. We will reply as soon as possible and within the period set by the law of your country (for example, one month in the European Union). We may ask for some information to confirm the request is yours.
You may also file a complaint with the data protection authority of your country, for example your national authority in the European Union, the ANPD in Brazil, the AAIP in Argentina or the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce in Colombia.
15. Security
Game data stays on your phone, protected by Android's security. 1 vs 1 matches travel only over your local network and the room requires a password. No system is completely secure: keep your phone updated and play on trusted networks.
16. International transfers
Today we do not transfer personal data to other countries, except the emails you send us, which are stored on Google's servers (Gmail) that may be located outside your country. Google applies recognized safeguards for these transfers, such as the European Union standard contractual clauses.
17. How long we keep data
- Data on your phone: you control it. It is deleted when you uninstall the game or clear its data.
- Emails: we keep them while your request is open and for up to 12 months afterwards, unless the law requires us to keep them longer or you ask us to delete them sooner.
18. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with its date. If the change is significant (for example, when we add ads), we will also announce it in the game or on the Google Play listing before it takes effect.
